CALENDAR NOTE
Understand why a result can differ by one day
01 / COUNTING RULE
Elapsed days and inclusive counts
September 1 to September 2 is one elapsed day. Counting both dates gives two dates. Identical dates are zero days apart, but count as one date when the end date is included. Choose the convention you need before calculating.
02 / DAYS OFF
Weekdays are not always working days
Weekdays mean Monday through Friday. Actual working or business days depend on local weekends and organizational schedules. Enter weekday holidays manually. The tool always treats Saturday and Sunday as the weekend.
03 / DATE VS TIME
Calendar dates only
This tool compares calendar years, months and days. It does not calculate elapsed hours, travel across time zones or the 23-hour and 25-hour days caused by daylight saving changes. Do not use it for flight durations or time-zone differences.
Frequently asked questions
Is the start date included?
The date count and weekday count include the start date. The end date is included only when selected. Elapsed calendar days measure the distance between the two dates and do not change with that option.
Is day 100 the same as 100 days later?
If the base date is day 1, day 100 is 99 days later. This tool treats the base date as day 0, so entering 100 gives the date exactly 100 days later.
Are public and observed holidays included automatically?
No. Holidays vary by country, region, year and organization. Enter the dates you know; only dates within the interval that fall on Monday through Friday are subtracted.
Does it handle leap years and month ends?
The tool uses the Gregorian calendar from 1900 through 2199. It handles February 29 in leap years and the correct last day of each month. Impossible dates such as April 31 are rejected. Adjust your input if the result falls outside the supported years.
Can I use this for legal or contractual deadlines?
This is a general calendar calculator for personal planning. It does not interpret statutory periods, contract rules about the first or last day, or holiday extensions. Check the rules and dates supplied by the relevant organization.
Are my dates saved?
Your dates and exclusions are processed only in this browser page. The tool creates no calendar account or storage. Refreshing clears your work, so record any results you need elsewhere.
